ROLE play was firmly fixed on the timetable at a Chandler's Ford school.
Pupils at St Swithun Wells Primary School celebrated Book Week by dressing up as their favourite book characters and taking to the catwalk.
It involved the school's 150 pupils, aged four to 11, and Harry Potter was a popular choice in a line-up which included Captain Hook and Peter Pan.
There were also some urchins from Oliver Twist which was staged by M & M Productions during the book week.
Today the youngsters were able to let their hair down with their own singing and dancing routines. And there was an opportunity for some of them to be Spice Girls.
See pages 6 & 7 of today's Eastleigh edition of the Daily Echo for more pictures from the St Swithun Wells Primary School's Book Week.
