BASINGSTOKE and Deane Borough Councillor Alison Wall is spearheading a campaign to stop Royal Mail from closing Whitchurch delivery office.
Since Royal Mail announced a proposal to move the town's delivery office to the Basingstoke branch Cllr Wall has been contacted by many angry residents and businesses who rely on this service.
Already Cllr Wall has started a petition, which has collected 200 signatures and at this week's town council meeting it was agreed that a demonstration will be held outside the delivery office on 9 April at 10.30am.
