A PROJECT for homeless and vulnerable young people which caused mayhem in Tidworth when it opened has now won praise, plaudits and a £250 grant from the parish council.
Eden House, housed in the former rectory and run by the Salisbury based Alabare Christian group, was at the centre of police activity and criticism when it opened several years ago.
"We did have problems when it opened its doors as some of the residents were very undesirable but the parish council made representations and a support group was formed," said Cllr Andrew Connolly.
"They have since hand picked their tenants and undertaken some really good work which has been first class."
