TO celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday the Chantry Shopping Centre invited school children to get their pens, pencils, crayons and paints out and become portrait artists.
Mother's Day Portrait Competition entry forms and a teacher's project pack containing background information on Mother's Day, together with a selection of some of the famous portraits of mothers produced over the years, were sent to around 30 schools in the Andover area.
"We had an amazing response with over 300 portraits received," said Steve Cotney, manager of the Chantry Shopping Centre.
