THE Goodwood Festival of Speed is to be held on June 24, 25 and 26 this year and the Earl of March has commissioned Peter Hearsey, the automotive artist, to create a spectacular image to use for the poster that features the festival for 2005.
This year the image reflects the Honda RA300, the car that gave John Surtees a dramatic victory, by a yard from Jack Brabham, in the 1967 Italian Grand Prix and the Honda RC174 motorcycle that helped Jim Redman to win one of his six World Championships.
Peter Hearsey, who has painted all 12 of the Festival of Speed posters since it began in 1993, will be in the Goodwood Shop, at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, on Tuesday to personally sign posters purchased during the day.
He will be signing from 10am until 1pm and again from 2pm until 4pm, so if you would like this opportunity to be one of the first to own this year's limited edition poster, printed in full colour on fine quality paper, then do visit the shop or call 01243 755098 for further information.
THE dates for the 2005 Goodwood Revival have now been confirmed with the event due to be held on September 16, 17 and 18.
