MUSIC mad Errol Matthews is back doing what he loves most.
After defying doctors who predicted he would not live beyond the age of six, Errol, now 20, is busy organising his latest gig.
The self-styled DJ Bluey, who is terminally ill with a condition called pulmonary atresia, has lined up an under-18s disco night at Southampton Guildhall.
Featuring everything from hip-hop and reggae to R&B and garage, the gig will take place in the Solent Suite on Saturday April 30.
Helping Errol on the decks will be his friend, 15-year-old Theo Rogers, a pupil at Cantell School, Southampton.
All proceeds will go to Naomi House Hospice at Sutton Scotney, near Winchester, where Errol receives respite care.
Errol, of Priory Road, St Denys, Southampton, said: "I am doing this to get young people off the streets.
"There are too many youngsters hanging about with nothing to do.
"I am hoping to do it every three months, depending on the response we get."
The Taunton's College multi-media student hopes to raise more than £1,200 for Naomi House.
Errol has endured eight major operations after his condition damaged his heart and caused his right lung to collapse.
Tickets for Errol's under-18s night cost £6 each and are available from the Southampton Guildhall box office on 023 8063 2610, or visit www.southampton-guildhall.com.
