The Bottom Lake at Stoneham received its annual restocking last week when 130lb of roach to 1lb and 155lb of bream to 2lb were added to top up the 100lb of roach and 200 crucians stocked last autumn.
The lake has been transformed over the last five years with regular stockings and is probably one of the most prolific mixed species club-controlled fisheries in the south.
Due to its popularity more food has been introduced on a day-to-day basis by the anglers and the fishery has gone from strength to strength.
