GOLDEN Ring's Matty Wells led the way for Southampton boxers at this week's Bournemouth show.
Wells recorded his first victory inside the distance when he defeated Bournemouth's Mahmood Mahani with a second-round stoppage.
Head coach Stuart Gill praised Wells's improved fitness, saying: "He is now boxing much better than ever before."
Tommy Watson, meanwhile, made it seven wins out of eight with a points victory against Ben Morrish from the Pilgrims club.
He put Moorish down with a stunning right hook at the end of the first and the fight soon became a real war with both fighters being given standing counts.
It proved to be the bout of the night and Watson was awarded the best boxer accolade.
Golden Ring's Shaun Nailor was also in action, but he was beaten by Basingstoke's James McIntosh on points.
Nailor boxed well but was out-worked in what was only his second bout.
