CRICKET legend Shane Warne has indicated he will end his amazing career with Hampshire.
The Australian leg-spinner has agreed a new two-year deal with an option for another two-year rolling contract that could keep him at The Rose Bowl until 2008, by which time he will be 39.
Warne has bought a house just a few miles from Hampshire Cricket's West End base and the 35-year-old is planning to make Southampton his family's home.
He said: "I am very committed to Hampshire Cricket and very happy to come back and live in Hampshire. My family love the area.
Warne has played two seasons with Hampshire, taking 108 wickets in 2000, before leading the county to the top flight of the county championship last season and taking a further 73 wickets.
This summer, he will play for Hampshire until July 11 before leaving for Australia's Ashes series.
