Hampshire U14 continue their county development season with a match against Oxfordshire on Sunday at Andover RFC, kick-off 2pm.
The Hampshire selection campaign started back in October with regional trials at venues in the south east, south west and central north of the county with 100 boys being assessed at each centre.
Trials started in line with the RFU structured season and were followed by the selected boys from each area attending festivals at Winchester RFC in January. From these a squad of 46 were selected to play against Berkshire in February, both games being lost in keenly contested matches.
The Hampshire squad will play two games against Oxfordshire on Sunday with the fixture being allocated to Andover RFC as a result of their rapidly expanding youth academy. The Hampshire squad includes two local players, Joseph Attwood and Niko Rowe, (pictured), both current members of the Andover U14 team. Both players are hoping to have some local support having honed their skills playing for Hampshire's own All Blacks.
