SOLENT'S hopes of staying in Division Two of the National League are still in the balance.
They travelled to the Midlands where they defeated Milton Keynes 3-2 but lost 3-1 to Leicester.
Against Milton Keynes Solent struggled at first and lost the opening set 25-21.
In the second, player-coach Matt Cordrey-Gale led by example and won 10 successive points on his serve as Solent won 25-20.
After losing the third 25-22, Solent hit back to level by winning the fourth 25-18 with James Blissett and Ian Coombs impressing
Simon Trueick and James Kemp got in on the scoring as Solent won the decider 15-10.
Against Leicester Solent fell two sets down - 25-23, 25-21 - hit back to win the third 25-20 with Darren Sanpson coming into the side, but lost the fourth 25-18.
