LIBERAL Democrat party leader Charles Kennedy was visiting the Isle of Wight today.
Mr Kennedy, pictured, was joining the Liberal Democrat's prospective parliamentary candidate for the Island, Anthony Rowlands, and planned to travel up the River Medina to view the progress made in the economic regeneration of the Cowes area.
Mr Rowlands said: "I am delighted to be welcoming Charles Kennedy back to the Island to see the progress made on the redevelopment of Cowes waterfront.
"The Lib Dem-led council's determination to achieve a balance between commercial and residential development will maintain Cowes' premier position as a centre for world yachting."
