SHOPPING centre WestQuay's 'Welcome to a World of Pleasure' marketing campaign has been highlighted in a national award.

The British Council of Shopping Centres' Purple Apple Awards gave the pampering and travel-themed campaign a merit in the best advertising campaign section.

With the help of Southampton ad agency Lawton Group, the six-week online and offline direct mail campaign targeted more than 56,000 households.

Louise Hamer, marketing manager for WestQuay in Southampton, said: "This award recognises the hard work and dedication of the marketing team and we are very excited and proud to receive such a prestigious national award."
