HAMPSHIRE Professional Golfers honoured English champion Kerry Smith when they staged their annual dinner at St Mary's Stadium
The Waterlooville Curtis Cup player won the Hampshire PGA's Achievement Award to mark her winning the national title last June before going on to finish top of the English Ladies' Golf Association's order of merit.
Kerry was away at an England training camp, but her father Barry collected the trophy on her behalf.
The Tom King Award, for services to the Hampshire PGA, was won by Graham Smith, whose Company ERIF UK sponsor the Hampshire PGA Match-play Championship and the Hampshire PGA Irish Tour.
This year's Hampshire PGA annual dinner attracted 450 guests and was described as one of the best ever, with former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher leading the speaking.
It was the 55th anniversary of the event and for the third year running was sponsored by HA Fox Jaguar.
This year saw the first Annual Dinner Golf tournament in which guests were were invited to play a Stableford round at their home club. Winner Bill Oliver from Brokenhurst Manor was followed by Waterlooville's Tony Foley-Greaves and Alresford's Bill Ragan.
Royal Winchester's Richard Forshaw won an all-inclusive holiday in Portugal sponsored by Golf Groups Direct.
