FAREWELL to winter and welcome to a new riding season. And BMW Motorrad Great Britain has planned quite a welcome.

This Saturday, all UK Motorrad dealerships will offer motor-cyclists the chance to win a brand new K1200 S superbike as a celebration of BMW's official 2005 new season launch.

The new K1200 S is the most powerful motorcycle ever produced by BMW and is equipped with one of the most sophisticated engines and engine management systems in the industry - the new ultra-slim, in-line four-cylinder power plant produces an astonishing 167bhp.

By simply visiting one of BMW's 34 dealerships between March 12-31 and completing a special prize draw entry form, the dream of owning a BMW K1200 S - with brand new Duolever front suspension, Paralever rear suspension and high-torque four-cylinder engine - can become a reality. The complete 2005 model range will also be on display to entice customers old and new to visit Motorrad dealerships and see the new generation BMWs for themselves.

It is a pivotal time for the German manufacturer as the UK press and biking enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the launch of another ground breaking machine - the all-new R1200 ST Sports Tourer.

Replacing the hugely successful R1150 RS boxer twin, the ST is expected to generate equally enthusiastic reviews.

This Saturday the waiting game will come to an end for BMW customers as the R1200 ST is finally unveiled for the new season launch in all dealerships.

The R1200 ST uses the same powerful boxer engine as the top-selling R1200 GS but with an additional 10bhp. BMW's new season launch will allow visitors to Motorrad showrooms a first sight of this exciting new model and will provide a great opportunity for sports-minded touring riders to inspect the R1200 ST's dynamic capabilities and arrange a test ride.

Following a hugely successful press launch, the R1200 RT benchmark tourer has generated rave reviews from journalists and will be at BMW dealerships for customers to see and possibly test ride.

Other key customer attractions will be popular models such as the globetrotting R1150 GS Adventure, K1200 LT tourer and best-selling R1200 GS adventure sports machine.

In addition to the new machines, the 2005 Rider Equipment collection will also be in the showrooms.

Key items for 2005 include the System 5 helmet (with innovative Bluetooth technology) and the Streetguard 2, Santiago and ProRace suits.
