HOORAY! We have a red telephone box again - and in the right place too!

It's a pity there isn't a working telephone inside it.

PLAYGROUND: Lucy, the parish clerk, said: "Wicksteed has installed our new wendy house but we are waiting for the safety surfacing to be delivered.

"The delay is undoubtedly due to the extreme weather we have had to contend with.

"Also outstanding is the installation of a combat cableway which should arrive in the next week or so."

CASINO Night: Sounds like fun.

This is a fundraiser, in aid of hall funds, and is on Saturday, April 16, in the village hall, from 7.30pm.

There will be roulette, black jack and a buffet and bar. DJs and posh frocks please.

Tickets cost £10, to include supper, and are available from Jan on 882539, or from The Shop.

CONCERT: The Loddon School's charity concert is next Saturday, March 12, at Sherfield School, at 7.30pm, where The Linden Wind Orchestra presents a concert of light classical music.
