BE A brick... and buy a brick! You may have seen that the new Whitewater school hall is now nearing completion, thanks to the diligence of the contractors and the resilience of the students and staff.
However, we still need to find money to furnish the new building with gym equipment, curtains, staging and lighting, ready for the grand opening in July.
We therefore need as many people as possible to join our Buy A Brick campaign.
For only £5 per brick, why not include your whole family?
Donations can be sent to the school office (cheques payable to Whitewater School PTA - a registered charity) and state your name and address, the amount of your donation, the name required on the special certificate, and indicate if you are a UK taxpayer, which means the school gets even more money via Gift Aid.
For further information, call the school office on 762637.
SCOUTS' spring jumble sale: Takes place next Saturday, March 12, with Sue, Richard and team collecting your treasures and trash from 10.30am to noon at the village hall.
Doors open at 2.30pm, and admission is only 20p. We almost broke a record in the autumn - let's see if we can beat it this time.
Call 763118 for collection of larger items or (even better) offers of help.
CLOSED: As from this week, the B3011 between Heckfield and Hartley Wintney will be closed to through-traffic for essential drainage work between Holdshott Farm and Holdshott Cottage.
