ANDOVER police are warning elderly residents to be wary of tricksters who con their way into their homes and distract them while an accomplice searches the property for valuables and cash.
Last Thursday two residents in Blake Court, Artists Way, Andover, were conned when two men entered their homes shortly after 5.30pm, making off with £160 from one of them.
In the first incident one of the men asked for a drink, a piece of paper and a pen.
In the second incident a man walked into the house and when confronted, asked if he could leave a message for a neighbour.
One man is described as white, aged in his early 20s, of medium build and with black hair. He was wearing a navy blue anorak.
The second man was also white, in his early 20s and of medium build.
The second victim saw two men but can only describe one of them. His description is similar to the previous ones with the addition that he was said to be about 5ft 6ins tall.
