IT may be nearly Easter but the pantomime season isn't over just yet! Copythorne Amateur Theatrical Society brings Cinderella to the New Forest with traditional magic and lots of community spirit from Saturday.
The show features all the usual fairytale favourites plus a fairy godfather played by the society's chairman Mike Bailey.
Mike is hoping for some magic fairydust to do its trick to relieve him of a throat problem before opening night. He said: "I've had to whisper at recent rehearsals because I nearly lost my voice, but I am sure it will be fine on the night."
The pantomime is written by long-time member Avril Fraser Stearne, who has penned no less than 18 pantos for the group.
Audiences from local sheltered housing and nursing homes are especially invited to the panto and local infant schools have been encouraged to take part in a poster competition, the results of which will be on display during performances.
Runs Saturday, March 5, Friday 11 and Saturday 12 March and Friday 18 and Saturday, 19 March - 7.30pm Fridays and 6.30pm Saturdays. Tickets £4 and £3 Box office: 01794 390666.
