LUCKY pop fans in Southampton will be among the first to see a brand new musical Love Shack when it begins its run at The Mayflower on Monday.
The show has only just made its debut, and The Mayflower is just the second venue that will stage this pop-inspired production.
Love Shack has been created by Kim Gavin, who was behind 70s musical Oh What A Night and is the choreographer of the Pop Idol arena tours, and written by Danny Peak whose TV credits include Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and My Hero.
Together with an all-star cast, including S Club's Jon Lee, Steps' Faye Tozer and HearSay's Noel Sullivan, the show promises to be jam-packed with great fun, great laughs and some top tunes.
The show tells the story of couple Sam and Joanne, who are about to get married.
It is the night of the couple's hen night and stag night. Will the events that take place during their parties stand in the way of the couple's future happiness?
As well as an array of classic pop tunes, including It's Raining Men, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and Never Gonna Give You Up, the show also features a new song written by former Take That star Gary Barlow and renowned pop producer Eliot Kennedy, called Sometimes Never Always.
The feel-good show runs from Monday until Saturday, March 12.
