IF YOU or someone you know is planning to relocate to Scotland, you will be pleased to know that they won't have any trouble searching for a job.
It has just been announced that Gazette Newspapers' sister jobs website in Scotland has the UK's strongest market position.
According to a new survey, Newsquest's s1jobs website claimed a greater share of its jobseeking audience than any other generalist job board in 2005, with an audited 143,000 unique users.
In the biggest independent survey of the UK's jobseekers, the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) found that Newsquest's other job board interest, Fish4jobs, occupied second place.
A total of 24 of the UK's leading job boards participated in NORAS 2005, polling more than 18,000 jobseekers. The findings, which were backed-up with ABC electronic traffic audits of each site, were published by market researchers Enhance Media.
NORAS is a unique tool which enables recruitment decision-makers to openly compare the performance of job boards and make informed advertising choices. Such transparency benefits s1jobs, as the following NORAS findings reveal:
s1jobs attracts 141 per cent more jobseekers in Scotland than any other website. It reaches 130,638 jobseekers in Scotland, while the next best site reached 53,956
s1jobs reaches 500 per cent more jobseekers in Scotland than jobs.scotsman.com - reaching 130,638 versus jobs. scotsman's reach of 21,715
