ANDOVER went a long way to restoring their fans' faith with this hard-earned victory at the Portway on Saturday.
The game was never pretty to watch with the referee failing to deal with a number of minor scuffles that littered the 90 minutes. However, the understrength Lions stuck to their task and the clean sheet was a bonus after conceding eight goals in their previous two matches.
Having had most of the possession BAT must have travelled back to Southampton feeling hard done by. They twice hit the woodwork, found Colin Hopkins, the Lions' goalkeeper in excellent form and the rest of the Andover side playing with a 'they will not pass' attitude.
