THE ECB Southern Electric Premier cricket League has a new chairman, with Alton's Pat 'Paddy' Heffernan having replaced Alan Bundy, who has been elevated to League President.
Heffernan was a prominent left-hand run-maker in his playing days, having captained Alton and appeared regularly in the Southern League's representative sides in the past.
His term of office has already begun on a positive note, with Southern Electric having agreed to extend their sponsorship of Southern Premier League cricket.
The ECB Southern Electric Premier League has lined up two attractive representative matches for the coming season.
They will entertain the Victoria Cricket Association's Emerging Players XI in a 50-over match at Havant on Tuesday June 21.
They will also field a youthful side of their own against the Isle of Wight CA at the Plessey ground, West Cowes, on Spring Bank Holiday Monday, May 30 (noon).
