WHAT a difference a day makes: Following on from the reorganisation of Hampshire Mobile Library Service, the day the library van visits Rotherwick is changing to Thursdays, from this week.
It is planned that the new, updated vehicles will be larger with greater facilities, including internet access.
The timings will remain virtually the same, calling in fortnightly at Wedman's Lane from 3pm to 3.30pm, then the village hall from 3.40pm to 4.15pm - just in time to catch the after-school run.
Any comments or suggestions regarding the new schedule can be made to Cllr Jonathan Glen on 760088, as the council wishes to hear from everyone using the service with ideas to make it better!
Several less-well-utilised stops have been discontinued, so we're very lucky to keep it - as we use it, we didn't lose it!
TAKE two: Those talented folk at the Hartley Arts Group are at it again, providing light-hearted entertainment to see us into spring!
In association with The House of Treats (sounds tempting!), they are presenting two one-act plays up the road at the Victoria Hall, Hartley Wintney, this weekend.
They feature the best of British comic writing from Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound and Peter Shaffer's Black Comedy.
The evening starts with the doors opening at 7.30pm for the performance at 8pm.
Tickets cost £10, including light interval supper, and can be booked, if any are left, from the box office on 07956 412826 or you can e-mail tickets@hag.org.uk
