HATCH Warren WI: The next meeting of the WI takes place next Thursday, starting at 8pm, at the community centre.
New members and visitors are always welcome.
DON'T forget Mother's Day: Anyone looking for interesting pocket money gifts for Mother's Day, or wanting some way for the children to produce their own presents, should head to Hatch Warren Infant School next Saturday, March 5.
Its annual Mother's Day coffee morning starts at 10am, and there will be plenty of gifts available to buy, as well as the chance for younger ones to make their own presents for mum.
There will also be refreshments, the ever-popular cake stall and a raffle.
Children who are due to start school in September are particularly welcome as this gives them the chance to have a look around the school and have fun at the same time.
PLAY park improvements: Changes to the play park at the top of the hill in Worcester Avenue are due to be completed in March.
These include the improvement of toddler facilities and the installation of new fencing.
Improvements to the junior side are planned for this summer.
Further details, including photographs, can be seen on the borough council website at www.basingstoke.gov.uk/community/playareasconsultation/hatchwarrenandbeggarwood.asp
SATURDAY Fun Club: The next one at the community centre takes place on Saturday, March 12, from 10am until noon.
The club is for children of primary school age and places must be booked in advance.
It costs £4 for members and £5.50 for non-members.
Children are able to take part in a number of crafts and activities and meet lots of new friends at the same time.
Fees are reduced if parents are able to come along and help at the fun club.
BLOOD donors: For those who need to book this in their diaires, the next visit to Hatch Warren by the Blood Service mobile unit will be on Monday, April 11.
