SAINTS showed their spirit to hold Arsenal to a 1-1 draw after Peter Crouch cancelled out Freddie Ljungberg's opener.
It was Saints' fourth consecutive draw and extends their unbeaten run at St Mary's to 14, stretching back to the beginning of October.
Saints Midfielder David Prutton was sent off following a rash challenge on Arsenal's Robert Pires who was consequently stretchered off.
The Gunners were also down to ten men in the second-half after Robin Van Persie went in recklessly on Graeme Le Saux.
