TOOTSIE, the pet dog taken from outside Andover War Memorial Hospital has been reunited with her owner following last week's story in the Andover Advertiser.
Robin Russell feared he had seen the last of Tootsie, his pet Jack Russell, after the 12-year-old went missing. Tootsie disappeared while Robin was inside the hospital visiting a patient and the dog was left outside. He feared she had been taken by people wanting her for fighting.
However, on Friday evening all was revealed. "She ar-rived home on Friday at 6pm," said Mr Russell. "Two people knocked on my door and one said sorry she had taken her but she thought she had been abandoned.
"She was well looked after having been bathed and fed and there were no signs of any ill effects."
