The Joiners Arms, St Marys Street, Southampton
THE Joiners in St Marys Street has to be one of Southampton's best venues for live music. With bands playing most nights to very impressive crowds for such a small venue, The Joiners is always buzzing with atmosphere.
On the night I managed to venture down, four bands called Serpica, Sacdafrash, Harpoon Larsen and Zero were lifting the roof with their well-oiled riffs.
Although a small venue, The Joiners does manage to hold quite a lot of people adding to the buzz.
The appeal with Joiners is that you can pop along and enjoy a great night of music with your mates along with a few pints on most nights of the week. Sometimes there is an entry charge, depending on who's playing, but compared with what some clubs charge in the area its more than worth it.
With some of Britain's up-and-coming bands playing there The Joiners is the best place to catch a glimpse of tomorrow's stars before they hit the big time.
