LOCAL band Circa have added some fire to their riffs with ex-Candlefire cohorts Jinder and Marco, joining them to create something of a south coast supergroup!
Having released six-track EP Hate Box to critical acclaim in late 2004, the Bournemouth band are preparing to take the nation by storm with a huge tour and promotion drive.
The tour will be supported by three music videos, which will be released between February and June. Circa's brand new line up plays for the first time at The Central, Ashley Cross tonight. Fantastic dark rockers Scarlet Soho are headlining with support coming from Bournemouth regulars Fevertree. This will be an unmissable event, and the only chance to see Circa locally until April.
MY Mantra support the release of their debut album on Monday with a launch party at The Joiners tonight. They'll be playing tracks from the album with support from Stout, Daughters Courageous and Kyoto.
Tickets £4. Contact 023 8022 5612.
SOUTHAMPTON'S MoFo and Reserved for Nothing play a Tsunami Charity Gig on Saturday night at The Joiners.
MoFo are a four-piece alt-rock group making a big noise in the south with their killer crimson riffs. Reserved for Nothing are a local five-piece signed to Manmade Records. They infectious debut album, At The End of the Beginning We'll Start Again, is out now.
The two bands will be joined by Sarah Jane Smith, Schoolboy Error, Black Andrew and Red5. Tickets £6. Contact 023 8022 5612.
