LEGENDARY singer Van Morrison has announced a special concert at Bournemouth's Pavilion Theatre on March 24.
Van is one of music's true iconic figures having shot to fame in 1967 with the timeless classic, Brown Eye Girl, which sold over 750,000 copies in the US alone.
A year later he released his debut album, Astral Weeks. With its mix of folk, rock, gospel and blues it proved a massive success, both in the States and UK and still regularly polls inside the top 50 greatest albums of all time.
His career continued to soar with numerous Grammy nominations and in 1993 the 56-year-old was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
Although he still performs live, Van rarely commits himself to doing long tours, preferring instead to satisfy his army of fans with one-off gigs.
This isn't his first gig in the town. Van has performed a host of sell-out shows there before, and this latest show is unlikely to be any different.
Tickets are £29. Box office: 0870 111 3000.
