IT'S being billed as Saints' biggest match since the 2003 FA Cup final.

And manager Harry Redknapp is certain his players know the importance of tonight's crunch relegation six-pointer away to West Brom.

Victory at The Haw-thorns will take Saints out of the bottom three for the first time since November, but defeat would leave them propping up the Premiership table with just 11 matches of the season remaining.

"It's a massive game - a fierce encounter," said Redknapp.

"The players know where we are and what we have got to do. If they didn't, they wouldn't be in the real world."

Saints will be searching for their first away league victory of the season and midfielder Graeme Le Saux added: "This game is bigger than any match this season.

"There is no one in the dressing-room that underestimates the value of three points.

"With each passing game, you are leaving it more to chance than being in control of your own destiny. The significance of this match goes without saying.

"It will be a great game for the neutral and a pressure game for all of those on the pitch."
