Sir.-If Sainsbury's store is to expand, are the residents of Tadley likely to be able to buy a loaf of bread on a Sunday afternoon?
I feel money would be better spent on training in stock control, so we are all actually able to buy items in the store.
It seems that the shelves are half empty at all times - even basic items can be sparse.
As has been said so many times, Tadley needs some healthy competition. We were all pleased to see a major supermarket after months of nothing... but it's referred to by the locals as "Budgebury's", as nothing has changed.
Enlarge the store and introduce more lines by all means - but try filling the shelves you already have before building more.
