CHINEHAM Parish Council: Held its monthly meeting last Monday.
The parish council was delighted to welcome the new beat bobby Pc Mark O'Hanlon, who outlined his approach to community policing and some of his proposals for looking after Chineham.
He hopes to hold regular surgeries and will be available for non-urgent calls on the Chat mobile phone (07791 152253), from the beginning of next week.
More information will follow in a future column.
IMPORTANT information concerning the charity of the Chineham Village Hall and Recreation Ground: The village hall management committee will be holding its annual general meeting on Monday, February 28, at Chineham Village Hall's committee room, at 8pm.
The meeting will receive the reports and accounts for the year ending December 31, 2004, and will elect up to 10 members for the committee of management.
Unfortunately, it is too late now to nominate somebody for standing. However, you can still have some input if you are a resident of Chineham, and aged 18 or over, since you are entitled to attend the meeting and vote.
AFTER-SCHOOL activities at Willowdene Nursery this term are as follows: Mondays - physical fun, Tuesdays - cookery, Wednesdays - music, Thursdays - dance, Fridays - craft. They run from 3.45pm until 5pm.
Any child aged two to eight years old can attend any of these sessions.
There is no need to book in advance, simply pay the £5 charge on the day.
For further information, contact Marilyn Hargraves, at Willowdene Nursery School, 42 Reading Road, Chineham.
