SAINTS and Pompey stars gave the shirts off their backs to help a Hampshire football club's charity day.
Players including Antti Niemi, Kevin Phillips, Claus Lundekvam, Shaka Hislop and Patrik Berger provided items to go under the hammer at the fundraiser organised by Burridge AFC.
Signed football shirts, boots, gloves and training tops were among 36 auction lots, sold to raise cash for the Daily Echo-backed Southampton Council of Faiths tsunami appeal.
The bidding began after three Burridge teams, and a fourth made up from ex-Burridge players, took part in an all-day tournament and hit the crossbar challenge. Spectators were kept happy with a bar and food, children's tuck shop and live music from Fortunate Son.
Guest of honour at the event, held at Burridge Football Ground and organised by club committee members, was Saints midfielder David Prutton. The day was expected to raise £3,000.
