FAREHAM Shopping Centre has been sold to an unknown investor for £93m, the Daily Echo can reveal.
The centre, which has 76 shops including branches of Marks & Spencer, Woolworths and Boots, had been owned by charity Christian Vision since 2002.
The sale has made the charity a £15m profit on its original £78m investment. The money will be used to fund missionary work in Africa and setting up Christian radio stations in needy areas.
The new owner has insisted on anonymity and it is not clear whether it is a company or an individual.
