YOUNG fossil-hunters embarked on a dinosaur murder mystery trail as part of half-term week at a Hampshire country park.
Fossil expert Tony Holmes and park ranger Richard Sharp treated youngsters to a day of prehistoric fun at Itchen Valley Country Park in West End, teaching them about dinosaurs and the clues they left behind for people to discover millions of years later.
Following a series of talks, children made plaster moulds of fossils and took to the outdoors to solve the mystery of who killed the duck-billed dinosaurs.
Mr Sharp said: "The half-term events are hugely popular and we have had to turn people away.
"Dinosaurs are always popular and everyone has fun while learning at the same time."
