ENTRIES for the Daily Echo Mother's Day competition are coming in thick and fast.
More than 100 youngsters have now put pen to paper to create their very own mum masterpieces for the chance to win a selection of prizes.
These colourful works of art are some of the latest entries to arrive at the Daily Echo offices.
Charlie Marie Hickmott, of Lamberhurst Close, Weston, and Amrit Paddan, of Medina Road, Shirley, both nine; five-year-old Alexandra Griffiths, of Winchester Road, Romsey, and four-year-old Jasmine-Asha Woods, of Waterside Park, Woolston have all sent in fantastic pictures of their mums.
The competition is open to two categories of age group - children up to six years and those from seven to ten.
Winners in each category, to be chosen by a panel of judges, will receive a selection of prizes to spoil mum in the run-up to Mother's Day.
Prizes include a Mother's Day lunch for four at the Marwell Hotel, a pampering treatment for mum in Marwell Hotel's Zuri Spa, a family ticket to Marwell Zoo, a £30 bouquet of flowers and £50 of Toys R Us vouchers.
All the pictures that are entered will go in a special Echo Mother's Day supplement, out on Saturday March 5, in which the winners will be announced.
Send your entries, to arrive by Wednesday February 23, to Mother's Day at Marwell Competition, Southern Daily Echo, PO Box 543, Southampton, SO16 9ZQ.
Entries must be on portrait A4 paper, not landscape, and all pictures must be attached to an original entry form which can be found on page 14 of today's Daily Echo.
