ONE of the top ice hockey players in the world, National Hockey League star Kirk Maltby, will be a special guest at tomorrow's Basingstoke Bison game against the Coventry Blaze.
He is coming to watch younger brother and Bison captain Shawn Maltby in action.
The elder brother, a three-times Stanley Cup winner with the Detroit Red Wings, is a veteran of more than 701 games in the top league, scoring 102 times.
He is famed for playing on Detroit's Grind Line and is never afraid to dish out the booming body check.
The NHL star has kindly offered to sign autographs in the Vision Sports Bar for 15 minutes during the first and second intermissions.
Each patron will only be allowed to get one autograph and no individual pictures will be taken, so as many people as possible can get through in what is expected to be a long queue.
With three minutes left in the intermission, Maltby will stop signing autographs so that he can watch the game.
Let's remember that he has primarily come to see his brother play, and no autographs will be given during the game itself - so please don't ask.
