A GIANT daffodil is being used to promote a major fundraising campaign in the New Forest.
The human-sized flower is the emblem of an appeal that aims to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, which provides free nursing care for terminally ill patients in their own home.
The appeal was launched at Bernie Leigh's Honda showroom in Rumbridge Street, Totton, where Daffy the Daffodil sat astride a motorcycle.
Over the next few weeks street collectors will be handing out normal sized flowers in return for a suggested £1 donation.
However, Marie Curie Cancer Care needs more volunteers to ensure the appeal is a success. Ring 023 8026 3123 or visit: www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil
