CELEBRITY couple Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem didn't give away any clues about their reported engagement at the Power FM Unsung Hero Awards on Friday night, only admitting they were "really happy together".
Both stars presented awards at the charity bash at Southampton Football Club, which raised more than £23,000 for local charities.
Dressed in an elegant evening dress, Delta performed two songs, while Brian, looking rather more casual in a denim jacket, sang two acoustic numbers, dedicating Lose Lose Situation to the watching Southampton manager Harry Redknapp. The smitten pair closed the show with a performance of their single Almost Here.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Echo, Delta and Brian said they were delighted to be at the ceremony. "It's nice to recognise local people in this way," said Brian, whose new album, Irish Son, is out now.
"I've done stuff like this in London before, with things like Help a Child, but to come to somewhere like Southampton is brilliant."
Delta admitted she had never been to a football stadium before, although football-mad-Brian had plenty to say about Southampton's battle with relegation.
"I support Coventry. I was going to say you might be joining us next season, but you won't because we're going down to League One!" he laughed.
The former Westlife star performs at Portsmouth Guildhall on May 31 and Delta revealed she may go to the gig.
In the meantime though, the pair will be spending some time together back in Australia, where Delta tours in July.
"We're really, really happy," she said.
"We are doing everything we have ever wanted, which is great. I think it's going to be a really good year for us."
