COMEDY fans in the south will be helping to raise money for Comic Relief in an unusual way, by taking part in a huge Chinese whisper.
The UK-wide record-breaking event will take place on February 18 at all Jongleurs Comedy Clubs across the country, including the venues in Southampton's High Street and Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. The same secret whisper will be sent simultaneously through the audiences at Jongleurs' 17 clubs that evening.
The results from each venue will be compared to find out which is the rudest or cleverest.
It is the second year that Jongleurs has teamed up with Comic Relief to help boost the millions raised for projects in the UK and Africa.
Jongleurs will also be raising money throughout Red Nose Day with an optional £1 donation on all tickets sold for those shows. In 2003, the nationwide comedy club raised more than £15,000 for the charity.
Book tickets on 0870 787 0707.
