Sir.-Quite unexpectedly at about 2.30am on Thursday, January 20, we had a medical emergency in our household that necessitated ringing for an ambulance.
Having been very much aware of Tadley First Responders, and having helped raise money for them, I was overjoyed at the help, comfort and oxygen they were able to give the traumatised patient.
Brian, and his colleague Linda, were at our house within a few minutes. Wonderful!
When the NHS ambulance came, the two ladies were so speedy and caring. They were marvellous.
Also, we must offer our congratulations to the often criticised A and E department at Basingstoke hospital for their speed and efficiency, care and confidence.
These people often take knocks, but I can only give them thanks and admiration.
-Rosemary Bond, Franklin Avenue, Tadley.
