HELP! It's that time of year again, when the Sherfield toad colony will start migrating and need our help to cross the road safely.

The toads cross from the golf course to Sherfield School lake.

Every year, many are killed and the numbers have been dwindling over the years - so it is even more important that we try to look after the toads that remain.

If you would like to help and have a spare hour or two per week in February and March, please join the friendly bunch of volunteers.

CONCERT: The Loddon School charity concert is to be held at Sherfield School on Saturday, March 12, at 7.30pm.

The Linden Wind Orchestra, with conductor Roger Phillips, presents a concert of light classic music.

Tickets cost £12, to include refreshments during the interval, and are available from the school on 01256 882394.

PHONE box: I have confirmation from the parish clerk as to the whereabouts of the phone box.

Lucy said: "BT took it in error. It should have removed one in Hook.

"I am waiting to hear when it will be reinstalled. It has listing building status, so BT must replace it."

JUMP for Joy: In aid of tsunami relief, is being held next Tuesday, at the village hall, where there will be parachute games and a bouncy castle.

The session is from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, and costs £2.50 each or £4 a family.
