TSUNAMI appeal: Everyone who was involved in the jumble sale, which was held at the Oakridge Hall For All, contributed in raising £800 for the Red Cross.
The cheque was presented last Friday.
On behalf of myself, Paul Harvey and Cllr Jane Frankum, we would like to say thank you to everyone.
OAKRIDGE Infant School: Held a sale on February 4, for the tsunami appeal, and raised £316.35.
Well done to everyone involved, especially Jessica Muller, aged seven, a pupil at the school, who came up with the idea after a discussion on how to help the survivors.
It was run by Year 2 pupils, assisted by parents and staff.
Alison Jones, a parent governor, would like to thank everyone who helped, and also those that supported the sale.
BOWLING competition: Is being held, in aid of the Daniel Bowler Memorial Trust Fund, which supports terminally-ill children and their families.
It will be held in the Bowlplex, at the Leisure Park, Basingstoke, in March.
