ANVIL show triumph: Congratulations to Hatch Warren and Beggarwood's own Carla Emery, principal of On Your Toes Dance School, who produced a truly wonderful show at The Anvil last Saturday.

Congratulations, also, to all the performers, who gave their all in a fantastic display of song and dance.

They ranged in age from two to adults and the show included ballet, tap, jazz and modern styles as well as group and solo singing performances.

The colourful costumes were stunning and the show was choreographed by Carla, with some sections choreographed by Charlotte Emery and some by Katie Brum, who arranged the vocal sections and who teaches performance arts at On Your Toes.

MOTHER'S Day fun: Hatch Warren Infant School will be holding its annual Mother's Day coffee morning at the school on Saturday, March 5, from 10am until noon.

There will be plenty to do for younger visitors, with crafts and activities and pocket money gifts for children to make or buy for Mother's Day, along with refreshments, a cake stall and a raffle.

Everyone is invited to come along, but there is a special welcome for those children due to start at the school in September.

POLICE warning: Some residents will have received a note recently from the police vehicle crime team, warning of the increased risk of vehicle crime in the area.

The police say that vehicles should always be locked and alarmed, whenever possible, and that no possessions, not even a coat, should be left in view.
