SOUTHAMPTON Holiday Inn has spent £30,000 making the hotel on West Quay Road fully accessible to disabled people.
Four of the rooms have been given wider doors as well as specially adapted bathrooms with a lower level sink and toilet.
"Across the country we have spent £13m adapting all our hotels," said Sarah Morgan, sales manager at Southampton Holiday Inn.
"All staff have been given disability training and we have hearing loops installed.
"We can also provide guests with access kits - which is a kind of vibrating door bell and a remote control.
"The bell can be set to alert the guest if they need a wake-up call or if an emergency alarm is going off."
