NAOMI House children's hospice has secured a top prize for one of its most important fundraising events of the year.

Smart of Southampton, based in Totton, has presented the hospice near Winchester with a Smart car to feature as top prize in their 2005 raffle.

The new car has been provided at cost, ensuring a saving of more than £1,000 for the charity, and has been fully branded with the hospice's logo.

It will tour the Wessex region served by the charity, to encourage more people to purchase raffle tickets.

Charlotte Dyer, pictured, Naomi House events fundraiser, said: "We are very grateful to Smart for providing the car at such a great discount, and by visiting towns, cities and shopping centres across the south, we are hoping to raise £20,000."

Graham Emery, pictured, Smart brand manager, added: "We are delighted to support such a worthy local cause and we wish them the very best with the Grand Raffle."

The raffle is due to be drawn on March 28. Tickets cost £1 each and are available by contacting Charlotte on 01962 843513.
