RICHARD Bland double bogeyed the second last hole at Gulf Harbour to go crashing out of the Holden New Zealand Open yesterday.
The halfway cut came at four under, and the Stoneham tournament professional made a birdie at the sixth to move on to the survival mark.
But a couple of dropped shots, followed by a seven at the 17th left Bland at level par for the tournament and put him on an early flight back home along with two other of the area's hopefuls Gary Emerson and Jon Le Roux.
Emerson has made just one cut in 2005 and his form crisis took a turn for the worse when he bogeyed five of his last six holes for a 76 to leave him three over.
Blacknest's Le Roux finished up with a level par round of 72 in his European tour debut but that wasn't enough after opening up with a 76.
