THEY may have some way to go to emulate their soccer heroes - but at least the football team at Eastleigh's Crestwood College now looks the part.
Youngsters at the business and enterprise college's campus in Shakespeare Road, Boyatt Wood, are celebrating the gift of a brand new kit - thanks to the Football Foundation, the UK's largest sports charity.
The foundation provided the college with the strip, worth £300, as part of its junior kits scheme to help junior clubs and schools across the country.
Funded by the Football Association Premier League, the Football Association, Sport England and the government,
the foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, and developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities.
Crestwood PE teacher, Jamie Bryce, said: "The kit is a huge boost for this college - and the team looks great.
"There's some way to go before we reach the Premier League but a well dressed team goes a long way to boosting players' self- esteem and confidence."
