ON the eve of Tidworth becoming a town in its own right it is almost impossible to buy a map of the whole place.
The problems is so acute that, on occasion, emergency vehicles have had to ask passers-by the way because no definitive map of the town is available which includes many of the recent changes.
Many roads have been re-aligned and changed following a rebuild of Army quarters.
At a meeting of the parish council Tidworth Develop-ment Trust chief executive Steve Lawton, said the lack of a map was part of a wider issue.
"This is all part of the issue of creating an identity for Tidworth as a whole which gives a single identity," he said.
"We should start to look at things such as why is Tidworth Post Office still called North Tidworth Post Office."
